Life's Many Questions???

I did not feel sad.  She lived a very long life and saw so much… 96.  can you imagine 96 years on this earth, before computers, during the days of jim crow.  raising 7 children on your own…. unbelievable.  my mother asked me not to tattoo her name on me so im placing the date under my most recent tattoo.  all of my aunts and uncles have at the least a bachelors.  all but 3 of my cousins have graduated college and are pursuing very successful careers.  she left a legacy that must be fulfilled. every single year since i can remember she gave me a card on my birthday with $5.00 in it.  all my cousins and i called her grandmoney when we were young because we couldnt say mother.  i love my “grandmoney.”

and now that i have this regret i have no one to turn to for advice or any great conversation. my life is different. no shoulders to cry on.  no one to wrap me up in their arms and rub my head.  no one to tell me that death is a natural part of life.  no one to go to the service with. no one.
